Start with the radio point you need to get.
Write down who the stationary post should contact: employees on the territory, cars on the route or subscribers via repeater. Then specify the station model and operating frequencies. This will allow you to discuss the appropriate antenna configuration, rather than choosing it by the name of the two-way radio or the appearance of the connector.

Replacement of the antenna: what can be saved
When replacing, it is useful to divide the equipment into three groups: remains, is replaced and requires inspection. The first can get a serviceable station and a suitable installation site. The second is the antenna itself, worn-out connectors or a damaged section of the cable. The third group helps not to order extra and not leave a weak link in the new line.
Give the seller photos of the old antenna, its marking, mounting and connections. For the cable, you need a designation, the total length of the route and information about its condition. If the station or operating frequencies changed after the previous installation, add this to the application: the old solution could be selected for another set.
Cable and connectors affect the composition of the purchase
Even at the right frequencies, the antenna does not form a finished radio point by itself. The cable is selected by frequency, length and allowable losses; the connectors are selected by equipment at each end. Several random adapters complicate the assembly and search for fault, so it is better to list the entire chain of connections in advance.

The presence of a discharger in the order does not replace the project of object protection.
Three options for application
If a radio point already exists, you don’t have to start by buying a new repeater. It is more useful for the seller to see the boundary of work and a list of what the company plans to leave. For a new post, prepare a layout for the equipment and cable route, even if it is a simple pattern with dimensions.

The selection depends on the frequencies, antenna configuration and the entire line. In our catalog, the VHF variant 134-174 MHz is listed. A suitable mechanical connector alone does not establish compatibility.
