DMR is a digital standard: cleaner audio at range, twice the channels on one frequency, text messages, GPS and individual calls. Analog is simpler and cheaper but without the digital features. The DM2600/DM4401 work in both analog and digital — convenient for a gradual migration.
PoC (Push-to-talk over Cellular) is a radio working over a 4G cellular network or Wi-Fi (Vostok XT-810/805). Comms with no distance limits and no frequency paperwork — ideal for intercity haulage and distributed teams. Requires network coverage.
For analog and DMR stations on dedicated frequencies — yes, the frequency is registered. PoC radios work over the cellular network and need no licence. We will help you figure out which is simpler for your task.
Three ways: a mobile radio with a roof antenna instead of a portable, an antenna matched to your band and mounted higher, and a DR3000 repeater on high ground — it receives and retransmits the signal. In forests and mountains terrain decides range, so the repeater site is chosen from the map.
