DR3000 for a second site: a higher antenna or a separate radio site?

In production, communication through repeater works, and a remote warehouse should be included in a common working group. Can you limit yourself to a higher central antenna or need another node? This is the choice of architecture: to expand one area of radio coverage or to create a local area on the second object and connect the sites with a transport network.
When one central point is considered
If the facilities can be served by a single radio zone, first assess the location of the antenna, terrain, development and workplaces of employees. The presence of a mast or increase in power alone does not prove a connection within a remote building. To compare options, you need actual points of work, not just the distance between addresses.
This project retains one local radio node. Changing the antenna and feeder is considered as working with its service area. It does not create a separate radio system near a second warehouse, nor does it replace the assessment of reception conditions in that area.
When you need a local node of the second object
Another option is its radio coverage on each site and communication between nodes via IP. The DR3000 application in the IP Site Connect is confirmed by the official Motorola Hamburger Hungária project. In this architecture, the handheld and vehicle-mounted stations work with the local radio zone, and the transport network connects the sites.
There are two separate tasks. The antenna of the second object provides a local radio frequency region, and the IP transport transfers the exchange between the nodes. The Internet near the central repeater does not guarantee radio communication in a remote warehouse. Similarly, a good antenna of the second node does not confirm the quality of the transport connection between the addresses.
A common group does not mean double capacity.
In the proprietary brochure IP Site Connect Motorola separately distinguishes between the expansion of the coverage and the capacity of the common channel. Buying a second repeater only in the hope of doubling the number of simultaneous conversations of one common group is incorrect. First, it is determined which groups should be heard on both platforms, and which are only needed locally.
For the proposed DR3000 separately agree the software version, available functions, settings of slots and subscribers. The network connector itself does not prove the finished IP Site Connect configuration. The capabilities of a particular device and compatibility with the existing fleet are fixed before order; automatic switching of any DMR-two-way radio between venues is not promised here.
What to count in quotation
On our DR3000 card, the RUB is listed from RUB 399,000 per repeater. This is not the price of a finished system for two objects. If the central node is retained, the application separately designates the device to be added, the antenna path of the second object, IP transport, power supply, placement and necessary work. Restored parts are not included in the delivery.
For transport, node availability, bandwidth, delays, losses, and connection conditions are discussed; a single result of measuring Internet speed is not enough. quotation should link the composition of equipment to the selected workgroups and addresses, rather than simply listing two identical housings.
To buy a DR3000 with delivery to Moscow, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Karaganda or another city in Russia and Kazakhstan, specify where the operating site is located and where a new node is needed. Add the address of receipt, number and composition of works. Current availability, condition, available functions, price and term will be confirmed by letter.
One radio zone or two local nodes
- One radio zoneUsers at two sites ↔ one radio site; suitability depends on conditions at both locations
- Two local radio zonesRadios A ↔ site A ↔ IP transport ↔ site B ↔ radios B
Functional options, not a connection scheme. The composition and program configuration are determined by the project.
| Draft question | How it affects choice |
|---|---|
| Can both objects be served by the same radio zone? | Evaluate the central point, antenna and real jobs |
| Do you need to cover yourself in a remote location? | View a separate local radio node and its antenna path |
| What groups link the sites? | Separate general and local exchange; expanding the coating does not double the capacity |
| Is the proposed DR3000 ready for the desired mode? | Confirm functions, versions, settings and transport requirements |
Questions before ordering
Does IP Site Connect really work with DR3000?
Yes, this application is directly described in the official Motorola project. The readiness of the proposed device and its configuration are confirmed separately.
Will the second repeater double the total channel capacity?
Expanding the service area via IP Site Connect does not increase the capacity of the shared channel. Load and groups are considered in the project.
Does the price of the card include two sites and the entire installation?
Nope. This is a quotation on repeater. Added nodes, antennas, transport, accessories and works are calculated according to the agreed composition.
Our DR3000 for project coordination
The price refers to repeater. The complete composition of the node, program functions, state and availability are confirmed in the quotation.
