Motorola MTP6550 - handheld TETRA for security
The MTP6550 runs on a TETRA (TMO) network, which requires an existing network and terminal registration. Outside the network remains a direct mode DMO: the connection “terminal-terminal” on the line of sight range.
The case with IP65 and IP67 protection, color screen 2" and a full keyboard with backlit. Ether is encrypted according to the TETRA standard (TEA1/2/3); AES end-to-end encryption is a separate option of the network. 1.8 W output: The terminal is chosen for network and function, not range.

Compatibility
- Vehicle-mounted TETRA terminal MTM5200 Works with MTP6550 on a single TETRA network
- With analog (GP340, GM340) and DMR-stations (DM4401, DM2600) MTP6550 is not connected - these are different systems.
- MTP6550 has its own audio accessories; PMMN4075A from the catalog is not suitable for it
What to consider
- Without a TETRA network, the terminal only works in direct mode – check in advance if you have access to the network and registration.
- For protection without its own network, analog GP340 or digital DMR communication is easier and cheaper.
- The model is discontinued; for new systems, Motorola offers TETRA terminals of the MXP series.

Will it work without a network?
Yes, in direct mode DMO between the terminals - for line of sight range. Group communication through the network, telephony and dispatcher - only in the TETRA zone.
What battery pack?
Li-Ion 1650 mAh. Motorola has a 2150 mAh battery for this series.
