ATV-16A or ATV-16C: Vertex antennas by frequency and two-way radio model
The ATV-16A and ATV-16C have similar designations, but different sections of the VHF. When buying a Vertex antenna, both parts of the choice are important: the configuration of your two-way radio and its operating frequencies. We will analyze which position to include in the order to replace or equip several stations.

What distinguishes ATV-16A and ATV-16C
In the VX-450 and EVX-530 manuals, the manufacturer specifies for the ATV-16A a range of 136-150 MHz, for the ATV-16C a range of 162-174 MHz. The letter at the end here makes a significant difference. The name “Vertex VHF antenna” does not give the buyer enough data: the application must include the full code and frequencies of the existing network.
| Position | How to use information when choosing |
|---|---|
| ATV-16A | Manufacturer-designated section VHF 136-150 MHz |
| ATV-16C | Manufacturer-designated section VHF 162-174 MHz |
| VX-451, VX-454, VX-459 | Antennas are listed in the VX-450 family manual; check the appropriate VHF-configuration station |
| EVX-531, EVX-534, EVX-539 | Antennas are listed in the EVX-530 family manual; check the appropriate VHF-configuration station |
| Channels outside the selected area | Separate selection is needed; membership in the series does not solve the issue by itself |
For example, for existing VHF-station 145 MHz within the specified area is considered ATV-16Afor 168 MHz — ATV-16C. These are examples of selecting on a frequency already used rather than quotation setting up new channels. If there are several working channels in the device, report all the necessary frequencies of the receiving and transmitting side.
What models are documented
Guide VX-450 pertaining VX-451, VX-454 and VX-459leadership EVX-530 - EVX-531, EVX-534 and EVX-539. In their lists of additional accessories are present ATV-16A and ATV-16C. These are case examples for a query that allow you to start a discussion with a specific two-way radio.
The name VX-454 or EVX-534 without configuration does not replace the range of the device. Report the labeling and data of your station, especially if you buy accessories for equipment of different years and units. The list of examples above is not a complete list of any two-way radio Vertex compatible.
How to order a replacement antenna
Start with the full designation of the previous product. If the inscription is preserved, attach a large picture; if it is erased, use the documentation of the acquisition and information about the configured network. The shape of the hull helps to recognize the family, but does not establish the frequency area. Our pictures in the cards illustrate the family and do not allow you to read the exact marking of each position.
Compare the old and proposed code in its entirety. The ATV-16C and ATU-16C have one letter in the middle, but they are different designations. In the specification, save the ATV or ATU prefix, number and last letter. This procedure is especially useful when the buyer transfers lines of several prices or receives an application from the words of an employee.
What to do with the park at different frequencies
Divide the need into groups of devices, and then into groups of operating frequencies. If a portion of the stations are in section A and a portion is in section C, two separate order lines are more convenient than the total number of "VX-450 antennas." You can specify a specific unit and inventory numbers so that the products are immediately distributed upon receipt.
If one device uses channels from different locations, do not select A or C only on the most frequent call. Give the full range of frequencies used for selection. The necessary items are agreed upon for this task; having two product cards does not mean that they cover any VHF network.
What to include in the price request
“We need an antenna. ATV-16A / ATV-16C. Station - [full model and configuration], operating frequencies - [network data], former antenna - [code]. The number is [number], the city receives [city]. Attach photos of the station marking and antenna. Please confirm compliance, scope of supply, condition, cost and current availability.”
To equip several jobs, you can add distribution by model and division. If you need documents for a specific configuration, list them in the request before agreeing on the quotation. This allows you to get a subject specification with clear codes, rather than a general answer about Vertex accessories.
Below are direct transitions to the ATV-16A and ATV-16C, as well as a separate ATU-16K position from our catalogue. The latter has another claimed site; it is selected separately. After confirming the order, save the agreed code next to the station model: repurchase will rely on verified data.
Receipt and delivery
To request delivery, specify the city and address of receipt: Moscow, St. Petersburg (Peter), Novosibirsk, Almaty or another point of Russia and Kazakhstan. The amount for each configuration, availability, cost and term are agreed in the quotation.
Questions before buying
How is the ATV-16A different from the ATV-16C?
Manufacturer indicates for ATV-16A 136-150 MHz, for ATV-16C 162-174 MHz. The choice depends on the operating frequencies and the corresponding VHF-configuration station.
Can I order one VX-454 name?
For accurate selection, you need a configuration station, the frequencies used and the complete antenna code. One model name does not describe the entire set.
What to do if you need channels in different parts of the VHF?
Transmit all frequencies used. Selection is matched for the full task without selecting the ATV-16A or ATV-16C over a single channel.
