VT-27 Smart TURBO or AR-450: which vehicle-mounted two-way radio to choose from
Both stations are vehicle-mounted, both operate from an onboard network of 12/13.8 V. But it's a different class of communication: Vector VT-27 Smart TURBO - CB 27 MHz for communication of drivers, Ajetrays AR-450 UHF service at allocated frequencies. The choice is not determined by price, but by design.

VT-27 TURBO: Paperless communication
CB stations up to 10 W do not need to register - TURBO quietly operates at reduced power without any design. It's a shared ether: communication with any drivers on the track and in the convoy. The antenna at 27 MHz is now complete. Details - in technical guide VT-27 Smart TURBO.
AR-450: its own closed network
Up to 45 W in UHF, 200 channels, CTCSS/DCS signaling – the service receives closed channels and range. The fee for this is allocated frequencies and station registration: you can not work on a PMR with 45 W. Details - in technical guide AR-450.
How to choose
You need to communicate with drivers around, without registration, and the antenna is immediately included – take the VT-27 Smart TURBO. We need our own service network of machines and equipment at dedicated frequencies - AR-450. In a truck with a 24V network, in both cases, a converter will be required. VEGA 24 → 13.8 V - for the AR-450 with a current reserve.
Frequent Choice Questions
What to take for long-range combat without registration? VT-27 Smart TURBO: CB up to 10 W without registration, antenna on 27 MHz included.
What do I need for public or road services? AR-450: up to 45 W, 200 channels, closed channels - but with dedicated frequencies and station registration.
Do both stations have the same power supply? Both operate from 12/13.8 V. For the on-board network 24V, you need a VEGA 24 → 13.8V converter for the AR-450 with a current margin (17 A for a long time).
Is there a technical guide for transportation? Yes - section "two-way radio for transport": /st/racii-dlya-transporta/. Comparison between vehicle-mounted DM2600 and GP340: switching from analog to digital.
